Situation 1

In a hotel near the ocean at a travel destination, a hotel guest and front desk clerk are talking at the front desk.

客：すみません。今から食事に行くんですけど、近くにおいしいお店はありますか？

客(きゃく)：すみません。今(いま)から食事(しょくじ)に行(い)くんですけど、近(ちか)くにおいしいお店(みせ)はありますか？

Hotel guest: Excuse me. I'm going out to eat now. Is there a good restaurant nearby?

ホテルの人：そうですね、この近くですと、魚料理がおいしい店があります。

Front desk clerk: Well yes, near here is a restaurant with good seafood.

Situation 2

A family is camping with their children.

母：あ～、気持ちいいね。

Mother: Ah, this feels good.

父：今日は雨じゃなくてよかったな。

父(ちち)：今日(きょう)は雨(あめ)じゃなくてよかったな。

Father: Glad it didn't rain today.
