Situation 1
Takeru the college student and his younger sister Naomi are talking about part time jobs at a juku (cram school).
タケル：なんかいい仕事ない？
タケル：なんかいい仕事(しごと)ない？
Takeru: Aren't there any good jobs?
ナオミ：仕事？
ナオミ：仕事(しごと)？
Naomi: Jobs?
タケル：買いたい物があるんだけど。
タケル：買(か)いたい物(もの)があるんだけど。
Takeru: Yeah, there's something I want to buy...
ナオミ：仕事ね。先生はどう？
ナオミ：仕事(しごと)ね。先生(せんせい)はどう？
Naomi: Right, a job. How about being a teacher?
タケル：え？先生？
タケル：え？先生(せんせい)？
Takeru: Huh? A teacher?
ナオミ：小さい子どもに教えるの。
ナオミ：小(ちい)さい子(こ)どもに教(おし)えるの。
Naomi: Teaching small children.

Naomi: It's not difficult, it's fun! Takeru, you love small kids, right?

Naomi: And I heard they need more teachers. I'll try and tell them about you.

It's Mother's Day and 8 year old Satoshi is talking to his mother.
サトシ：今日は僕がおいしいものを作るね。
サトシ：今日(きょう)は僕(ぼく)がおいしいものを作(つく)るね。
Satoshi: I'm going to cook you something tasty today.

母親：え？どうしたの？

Mother: Huh? What's up?

Mother: Of course. I'm happy about your intention (that you want to do something for me).

Satoshi: I'm also happy we can make it together.
母親：じゃあ、今日から毎日一緒に作ろう。
母親(ははおや)：じゃあ、今日(きょう)から毎日(まいにち)一緒(いっしょ)に作(つく)ろう。
Mother: Right, so from today let's cook together every day!
サトシ：え。毎日はちょっと…。
サトシ：え。毎日(まいにち)はちょっと…。
Satoshi: Ah, every day is a bit much...
母親：そう？
母親(ははおや)：そう？
