Taro is inviting his friend Takeshi to go to the mountains.

Just a little issue but in the English translation of 2nd situation, 8th dialogue “アメリカに住んでいただけですよ”, “Takahashi:” is repeated 2 times. Would be nice if it’s not difficult to fix it.

I seem to have forgotten but what is the くて for in “難しくて…”. I know when connecting multiple adjectives you change it to that, but this is at sentence end.
That’s a good question.
You see there’s “…” after 難しくて. The speaker didn’t say all because it’s obvious for the speaker and the person who listens to it.
Here, 佐藤san is saying “I know very little English. It’s too difficult…”
So it could be 難しくて分からない ー It’s too difficult for me to understand.
By saying 難しくて…, she doesn’t have to repeat 分からない, and also she can express how difficult it is for her.
Ah so it’s literally her just not finishing the sentence, but the context is obvious.
Exactly! And most of the time, the hidden part is “so, I can’t do it.”
Example:
新しいゲームを買いたいんだけど、高くて…。
ー I want to buy a new game, but it’s too expensive…(for me to buy)
There’s a case like this:
A: その言い方は失礼だよ。ー It’s rude to talk like that.
B: ごめんなさい。知らなくて…。
ー I’m sorry, I didn’t know that (so I couldn’t use the proper phrase.)
