Here, it means “ahead” or “away”.

Quite far ahead from here. Quite far away from here.

Could you explain the expression of かなり again? The example in situation 1 . ここからかなり行(い)った所 and 4. かなり使(つか)ってる is a bit confusing to me. I’m not quite sure how to use that word. Thank you!

「かなり」can be translated to ”quite” means like relatively .’かなり is similar to とても but not as much as とても
かなり>とても
1 . ここからかなり行(い)った所 >> ここからかなり(遠く)行ったところ
かなり is an adverb and can be used with an adjective. In conversations, it often refers many meanings instead of using the adjectives and the adjectives can be omitted.
in this sentence, かなり implies 遠く and 遠く is omitted.
4. かなり使(つか)ってる ≒よく使(つか)って(い)る
not as often as よくbut relatively often.

situation 3:
まずドリンクにする.

why we put に particle here. what will be the grammatical explanation for it?

に is a very versatile particle. ~にする means “I chose ___” in this context.
Similar to ~になる (to become something.)

Hello!

In situation one, in the sentence example:
私(わたし)今(いま)、ダイエットしてるの

what would happen if it was changed to this.
私今、ダイエットしてる。

What is the difference in meaning? I’m wondering the significance of the の at the end of the phrase. Thanks for your help!

The difference is the nuance even though the underlying meaning is similar.

私今、ダイエットしてる。sounds like a generic statement and it also sounds dry, as though the sentence is written on paper.

の makes it more conversations and の in this particular context (but not necessarily in other situations) makes it quite feminine. の also adds a nuance that she’s sharing new information, as though saying “I’m actually…”.
