In Situation 1, they said “ใใ†ใชใ‚“ใงใ™ใญ”. What’s the difference between saying that and “ใชใ‚‹ใปใฉ” in this situation?

ใใ†ใชใ‚“ใงใ™ใญใ€‚means “Oh, is that so?” It’s often used when the information is new or unexpected to the speaker.

ใชใ‚‹ใปใฉ means “I got it.”, “That makes sense.” or “That explains.”
So, it would sound really weird if ไฝ่—ค said ใชใ‚‹ใปใฉ in this situation.

Thank you. I think the translation should be changed to “Oh, is that so?” rather than “I see.” then.

                    No problem.
I have suggested several times that they should translate the nuances in a way that makes the differences clear, but the people in charge prefer translating generally.
On many occasions, ใใ†ใชใ‚“ใงใ™ใญ can be translated as “I see.” And it can be applied here.

Its core meaning is probably closer to “vibes” or “atmosphere.”
Think about music, arts, fashion, or something you like without any particular reason. You could explain why you like it if you try, but it’s often beyond logical explanation: You catch/sense something that moves your feelings. That’s the one.

Because ไฝ่—คใ•ใ‚“ is talking to ้ˆดๆœจใ•ใ‚“. It’s a conversation between them.
“I thought you bought it for yourself.”
ไฝ่—คใ•ใ‚“ could’ve said ใ‚ใชใŸใŒ่ฒทใฃใŸใฎใ‹ใจๆ€ใ„ใพใ—ใŸ, but it sounds more friendly and polite to call them by their name.
If ไฝ่—คใ•ใ‚“ means Suzuki’s father or mother, he would’ve said ้ˆดๆœจใ•ใ‚“ใฎใŠ็ˆถใ•ใ‚“ or ้ˆดๆœจใ•ใ‚“ใฎใŠๆฏใ•ใ‚“.
