                                    Hi, I have two questions:
                                    1. What is the difference again between とき and ころ. One of them is a more approximate time frame and the other one is more of a specific point in time, right?
                                    2. In the second dialogue the mountain climber says: 写真見ると、次のお休みにまた来たくなりますよ。–> I didn’t understand how to connect くなる with a verb. Like, what verb-form do we need to connect the expression to the verb?
                                    Thanks!

とき: specific times, like the moment you shut a door.
ころ: approximate times, like around the time the door is shut”
However, if you say a long period, such as your childhood, you can use both as it doesn’t have much difference.

With 時 the relation between A and B is closer like English “when”, “while”, “at the time”. With 頃 the relation is more vague like English “around the time”, “around”.

                                    学校に行きたくなる。
                                    学校に行きたい。

The -たいendings mean you want to or like to (and their negative counterparts).
The -たくなる endings mean you are “starting to want to”. However, in English, you would probably translate them as both the same to sound natural.
Both would translate to “I want to go to school.” to sound natural in English.
They are very similar but the -たくなるconveys the idea that you are starting to think about it.

                                    How to form:
                                    e.g.
                                    みる→みたい→みたくなる
Change the verb into たい form →delete い→add くなる=みたくなる
                                    食べたくなかったけど食べたくなった。
I didn’t want to eat it but I became wanting to eat.

                                    I hope this helps!

For 写真見ると、次のお休みにまた来たくなりますよ. The explanation for 来たくなる lists くなる and seems a bit bad. When the sentence used uses たくなる rather than just __くなる and なる itself means “to become, to to get; to grow; to turn; to reach; to attain etc and the explanation only lists the first one. The sentence uses たくなる。たく being the “continuative form” of たい, so たい goes from “I want” to たく “I start wanting to”. So, 来たくなる means “Want to start coming”.

So I think changing the explanation from くなる to either なる or たくなる would make more sense. But I’m just back seat driving.

I simply say this as 来たくなり didn’t make sense to me and the listed explanation for くなる didn’t help so I had to look around a bit to find a proper explanation.

What was the difference between 頃 (goro) and 頃 (koro)? In the 2nd situation in line 5 there was a difference. Why is that? Thank you!

Konogoro : kono+koro= konogoro. However, we do not pronounce it konokoro.
Koro’s example: Hajimete no koro, 20dai no koro, kodomo no koro.
