てある. Meaning: is/has been done (resulting state).
                                When to use;
The task was done intentionally (maybe for preparation)
The resulting state from having done the action (e.g. the window was left open)

                                How to form
                                transitive verb + てある
開ける= to open something (transitive verb )
make て form and add ある
→開けてある = to be kept open (intentionally)

                                The basic pattern:
                                Something + が / は + V+てある
                                e.g.窓が開けてある。
                                お昼ご飯作ってある。

                                Hope it helps!

てある can be used to show a task that was completed,
The task was done intentionally (maybe for preparation).
                                E.g.
If you want to say your parents or teacher,
しゅくだいはもうやってあります。=I have already finished my homework.

In what situation is 分かる used as “to know” instead of “to understand”?

                                In the sentence:店員てんいん:はい。本ほんの名前なまえわかりますか?
Can “知りますか?” be used instead of “分かりますか?” ?

                                Basically,
                                something+ を + 知っている / 知らない
= to know something / not to know something
                                something + が + わかる / わからない
= to understand something/ not to understand something

In this context, we often use わかりますかinstead of 知ってますか.
You can say 知ってますか as well.
