Is this a common type of expression? “口の中、ケーキでいっぱいにしたくなります。”

It sounds strange directly translated to English. Are there any other examples in which you’d use a similar expression?

By the way, I think a more natural translation would be “It makes me want to stuff my mouth with cake.”

A more common way of saying it is:
口いっぱいにケーキを頬張りたくなります。
– I feel like stuffing my mouth full of cake. / I feel like cramming my mouth with cake.

※頬張(ほおば)る – fill [stuff, cram] one’s mouth

You’re welcome! Try using it in your daily conversations, and it’ll become more natural over time.

Hi,
Both 変わる and 変える use the same kanji and are both translated as “to change“ , which is confusing me because I can’t tell the difference or when to use either. Can you help me out? Thanks!

We sincerely apologize for the significant delay in responding to your question.

変わる is an intransitive verb. It works when you want to say something or someone changes.
Example: 季節が変わる。 – The seasons change.

変える is a transitive verb. It requires an object.
Example: 髪型を変える。- (Someone) changes their hairstyle.

こんにちは。I have a question regarding a line in conversation 1 from ジュン that goes: “確かに自分を変えたいときってあるよね。” Would I be correct in assuming the って is just used in place of というのは?

We deeply regret failing to respond to your question promptly and sincerely apologize for the delay.

って in this case, it works in the same way as は.
確かに自分を変えたいときはあるよね。
  - It’s true that sometimes you feel like changing yourself.

You can say 確かに自分を変えたいというのはあるよね。, but the meaning is slightly different.
It means “Yes, it’s true that we have a desire to change ourselves.
