I’m a little confused with the sentence “めっちゃすごいじゃないですか!” Doesn’t じゃない make it a negative? Could you explain it to me?

I guess it works in the same way in English.
You use “isn’t”, but it’s not a negative meaning, is it?

In the first video, what purpose do けど and だけど serve in the sentences “もしもし、ツヨシ?タロウだけど。” and “明日?あるけど”.

Dont these mean “but” or “however” and why dont I see anything like that in the translation? Why are they used in this context?

That’s a good question. けど has several usages.
Here, it implies the speaker want to continue the conversation, or wait for what the other will say.

So, with タロウだけど, he might want to say:
タロウだけど今話す時間ある? ー It’s Taro. Do you have a minute to talk?

Or he is kind of expecting ツヨシ will ask:
ああ、タロウ。どうしたの?ー Oh, Taro. What’s up?

Also, with 明日?
I do. Why do you ask me that?
And he suggests he’s waiting for タロウ’s explanation why he is asking.

In olden days, suggesting subtly and guessing what other people are trying to say are very important. I guess this is one of the examples of them.

Thank you for your explanation it helps a lot.

Follow up question: is this speaking style commonly used nowadays? If it is, what group of people would you say uses it the most? Older people? Younger?

Also, would a sentence like
“明日?あるよ。なんで?” closely resemble “明日?あるけど。?” but with less subtlety?

>Follow up question: is this speaking style commonly used nowadays? ?

That’s a good question, too.
It has been used for quite a while by people in any generation.
I guess people who use it often are not very talkative. They tend to wait for the other person’s help to continue a conversation or to be guessed their intention.

Also, there are some people who hate the usage. And they would ask けど、何だ?(けど、what?) to make it clear what the other has in mind.

Does it make sense?

>“明日?あるよ。なんで?” closely resemble “明日?あるけど。?” but with less subtlety?
Exactly! You got it. The speaker wants to ask なんで, and it’s included けど part.

You seem to understand it very well!
