I have a question about this (もちろん! It translates to “Of course I listen to it everyday, but the first part is saying do you listen to music and stuff. Wouldn’t it be better if もちろん!毎日聴いてるよ!was changed into “Of course I listen to music everyday.”? If so, would it be this (もちろん!毎日音楽聴いてるよ!)?

Thanks for the response.

It means “Do you often listen to music or something?”
This とか here suggests タクヤ mainly wants to know if ミカ listens to the music often, but if she listens to other things he would be willing to hear about it.
So when the answer is yes, it’s natural to say
If the answer is no, she could answer, for example,
I don’t listen to music, but I listen to the news in English.

You could say
音楽は毎日聴いてるよ, which is more natural as the answer to the question,
but it sounds redundant since they both know they are talking about music.

Does it make sense?

Oh ok that とか part is basically being used by Takuya as a way of mainly wanting to know if Mika listens to music. But if she doesn’t, then he would be fine with knowing what else she listens to. And because Mika is saying yes I listen to it everyday she is mainly emphasizing music.

Did I spot on?

Yes, とか literally means it doesn’t necessarily have to be music, which is a modest or reserved way of asking questions.
It implies Takuya doesn’t know about Mika very well, and he’s not sure if she even likes listening to music. So by adding とか, he can avoid making both of them feel awkward or anything if she doesn’t listen to music at all.

>And because Mika is saying yes I listen to it everyday she is mainly emphasizing music.

ー She more like emphasizes how much she likes music by もちろん and 毎日.
