In situation 2 “でも明日は休み取てるんで、頑張ります” is んでthe colloquial of ~んです which provides an explanatory tone for 明日は休み取てる? But the reason is not explained

んで here is a casual for of ので (so / because).

I know it’s confusing. You need to add something that he didn’t mention because he thought it was obvious.

The complete sentence should be:

明日は休みを取っているので、仕事を終わらせて休みを楽しめるように頑張ります。
– I’m taking tomorrow off, so I will work hard to finish my work and enjoy my day off.

The 仕事を終わらせて休みを楽しめるように(to finish my work and enjoy my day off) part is omitted.

In situation 2 “山に行こうかなと” is と the colloquial of と思う?

The full sentence should be
山に行こうかなと思ってる. (I’m thinking of going up to the mountains.)
And he omitted the 思ってる part.
と indicates a quote, and it works as the same way as “of” or “that”.
Example:
この映画は面白い思う。(I think that this movie is interesting.)

先生,
Then with 山に行こうかなと思ってる, what do we still need to have かな which means I wonder. It’s sound funny to have I was thinking I wonder….

かな indicates the speaker is uncertain about what they say.
Here, it implies he hasn’t really decided if he goes up to the mountain.
So maybe it’s better to translate it as “I’m thinking maybe it would be good to go up to the mountains.

※山に行こうと思ってる – The speaker intends to go to the mountain.
※山に行こうかなと思ってる – The speaker is thinking about going to the mountain but hasn’t fully decided it yet. There’s a chance he/she changes their mind.

In situation 1, I have the following queries:
1. 明日のテストは難むずかしいみたいだし.
みたいis seems like. But what is the function of だし

ー So, it’s important to know how you can break down a sentence.
It’s 明日のテストは難しい + みたいだ + し.
※明日のテストは難しい – Tomorrow’s test will be difficult
※みたいだ – it seems, it looks like, I guess…. (assumption)
※し – partly because
The particle し has several meanings, but here, it expresses the part before し is one of the reasons for an action or an event.
She is studying partly because she thinks tomorrow’s test will be difficult.

2. 勉強する理由って なんだろうね. Does ~だろうmeans probably. Then with 何だろうね mean literally “what probably”. What does this phrase really mean?

ー It’s 何だろう + ね
だろう here is used when you are uncertain, so 何だろう means “I wonder what it is.”

The particle ね has several meanings as well. Here it’s used to express the expectation of the other party’s agreement, response, etc.
The sentence means “I wonder what the point for studying is,” but by adding ね, it implies “I don’t know the answer. What’s your opinion?”

3 考えてみたら? なりたいものあったら,頑張れるかも.たらis conditional if.
What about てみ?

ー The standard form is 考えてみる. It consists of 考える + みる
The みる part means “try to,” so 考えてみる means “try to think” or “try to figure out.”
The 考えてみたら consists of 考えてみる + たら
The たら here indicates suggestion. It means “how about…” or “why don’t you…”
So 考えてみたら? means “Why don’t you think about it (to find an answer)?”

> Also is 頑張れる the passive form of 頑張る?why is passive form used?

ー No, 頑張れる is a potential form of 頑張る.
The れる part here works as “can” or “be able to.”
So 頑張れる means “can work hard” or “can try one’s best.”

Does it make sense?

As you point out it is important that we know where to break the sentence. Also some word has many meaning like たら beside meaning “if” can also mean “what about”.

Yes, たら has other usages, but the ~たら? form is used for suggestion.
