I’m a bit confused on how the て form is used in a few sentences in the first dialog.
in the sentence 実は、会社の人にまだ伝えてなくて。I think it ends on the て form of ない just to give a open ended sense, like there’s more that the speaker wants to say. is that correct?
And then there are a few sentences that end the same way as それで、なんで手紙なの？メールじゃなくて。and I don’t think I understand why they say メールじゃなくて instead of just メールじゃない in these sentences?

ー That’s right.
The complete sentence should be 実は、まだ会社の人に伝えていないんです。
When something is difficult or embarrassing to say, some people omit the end of words and make their sentences sound vague.
I think なくて here works in a similar way as “so…” in English: “I haven’t told people in the office yet, so…”
It also implies, “Please don’t share this news with everyone in the office, as I haven’t told them yet.”

ー This sentence is used anastrophe.
The normal way of saying this is
それで、なんでメールじゃなくて手紙なの？
So why write a letter and not an email?
