お店まで車るまで行く

if this means “Shall we go to the store by car?” – why is まで there?
the store (until / as far as / etc) by car go
i don’t see why it’s necessary or what it’s doing in the sentence

ー まで here indicates the point of arrival.
A literal translation of that sentence would mean something like this.:
“Shall we use the car until we get to the store?”
or “Shall we use the car to get to the store?”

Example:
東京から大阪まで新幹線で3時間かかります。
 - It takes 3 hours from Tokyo to Osaka by bullet train.

I hope this helps.

I’m having trouble understanding the different nuances between 新しいバッグ買かったんです vs。just 新しいバッグ買かった。Please enlighten me! Thanks.

If she said 新しいバッグ買いました, it meant “I bought a new bag.” She’s simply telling the fact.

On the other hand, 新しいバッグ買ったんです means more like “Guess what? I bought a new bag.”
xxxんです has several meanings, but it often includes excited or unexpected feelings.
Here, it shows her excitement of having bought a new bag.
So, it implies “I’m really happy I bought a new bag, and I want to show off and talk about it.”

Do you see the difference now?
