と as in Aと同じ indicates the basis for comparison. Aと同じ means “same as A”.
と as in Aと思う works to quote statements, thoughts, commands, requests, prayers, etc.
xxxと思う means “think that xxx.”
Particles have various usages in the same way as prepositions in English.

ー In this case, it means “mine” or “my smartphone.”
It serves the same role as an indefinite pronoun that avoids repetition of the noun.
質問があります、for the second conversation. How come the question is「その仕事」?Don’t they work at the same company? So how come the question is not 「この仕事」since the “work” is close to both of them?

The line actually means “When will you finish that job?”
その仕事 can be translated as “that job” or “the job you’re working on.”
その or それ is usually used for an object or person that is physically or psychologically close to the other person.
