This line: “Kaori: Ami, your voice is big. Don’t surprise me.”

This is a literal translation, but in English no one would ever say ‘your voice is big’, if we are translating to a more natural version of English, it should be, “Your voice is loud”, which I realize could be a different word (うるさい?) I’m not certain if this is a big enough problem to change, I probably would not re-record it, but I do suggest the English be closer to something an English speaker might say, it is just a suggestion. Thank you for producing excellent materials.

Hi Tim,
Thank you for your suggestion.
I’ll share it with our team, and ask if the translation can be changed to a more natural one.

In the meantime, the sentence means “You’re talking too loud. You scared me.”
And うるさい means “noisy” or “annoying.”

Thanks, Hana-sensei. I think “You’re talking too loud” is a perfectly fine translation that sounds natural in English!
