Is it more common to refer to a “Restaurant” as お店? Because I think I’ve heard it as レストラン too.
I think I only ever used お店 for stores but not restaurants.
We usually call a shop, store, or restaurant “お店” in Japanese.
“レストラン” refers to a dining place that is a bit fancy and often serves Western (European) dishes.
On this last dialogue, I struggled with “konoato”. At first i thought it meant “when we have finished what we are going to do now” = “after this”, but by the end of the dialogue it feels like they are going straight into the restaurant…? So the first sentence is a bit like “Are you in a rush to go?”, right?
No, この後 means “after what they are doing right now” or “from now.”
The sentence means “Do you have time from now?”
Or “Are you available from ow?”
