How woukd i type ティ on my keyboard from
ミーティング ? I had to copy and paste it here, but I don’t know how to achieve that sound as its typed out.

You can type “x” first when you want to type a small character:
To write ティ, type “te” first, then type “xi” and you’ll see the small ィ.

when should I use 聴く instead of 聞く? I think I learned somewhere that 聞く is more commonly used at times but 聴く is used for things like music because it has “ear” “eye” and “heart” in the kanji.

I was wondering why for 終わってから、話聞くね。it isn’t 終わってから、話聴くね。

Basically,
聞く – hear
聴く – listen to (music, lecture)

What’s the difference between 事 and 物

Is 物 usually added to words? Like 食べ物 while 事 is by itself to refer to a “thing” generally?

物 is used for something concrete.
It means “thing,” “object”, “item” or “stuff.”

事 is used for abstract things.
It means “matter”, “event”, “fact” or “experience”

Hello,

Regarding Situation 4, I’d like to say: “Don’t worry, it’s on me!” in a context where my friend doesn’t have money. How could I phrase it? I feel it would be a nice way to end the audio since it’s something I commonly say in such situations (and I think most people would).

I’d appreciate your reply. Thanks!

You can say 大丈夫。私が出すよ。
※大丈夫(だいじょうぶ) – Don’t worry. / It’s okay.
※出(だ)す – (in this case) I’ll pay

As mentioned at the beginning, they are not friends.
Maybe she lied about not having enough money and actually doesn’t like bowling. Or maybe she just doesn’t want to hang out with Yuko.

話聞く How is it different than 話して聞く?

The parts of speech are different.

終わってから、話を聞くね。
– I’ll listen to your story (what you have to say) after the meeting.

話 is a noun. を is omitted in a casual conversation.

話して聞く.
話す is a verb. The sentence sounds odd, but it means “talk and listen.”

質問があります。

In the 3rd conversation, Matsui says 「終わってから、」I know it’s supposed to mean “after work is over” but why is the past test of 「終わる」used? As in 「終わったから、」?

「終わったから」と「終わってから」のなに違いますか?

Sorry there’s a typo, why is the past tense of 「終わる」not used?

終わって as in 終わってから is not the past form.
It’s the present perfect form. : once (/after) it’s over (/ it has finished)

I need to be able to download these ‘videos’, to transfer to my ‘off line’ tablet’, How do I do this, since 4K video downloader does not recognise this link????
If I cannot down load, then this course will not be suitable for me, as I cannot be at my ‘base’ desktop much.

Sorry, we don’t currently have a video download feature. You can still download mp3 files, so maybe you’d like to try it.

I can play the mp3. but I cannot see “︙’ on the right, and select ダウンロード; so at the moment I can play the mp3, but still not download.

If you see the same page, you can see the ‘︙’ on the right side of the volume control mark, can’t you?
