hello, I wana ask about the verb “出す”, as you have written an example by using this verb which mean, have you did your homework, so it can also be used as “to do”

I’m not sure which example sentence you are refering to, but we don’t use the verb in a sentence like “Have you done your homework?” We’d say もう宿題は終わりましたか?

Also, 出す doesn’t mean “to do” in any situation.
It usually means “hand in / submit / turn in / give (orders, instructions, etc.)

If you could provide that example sentence, I think I could explain it in more detail.

“出す” is such a complicated verb. I did not know it could be used for “to pay”. Looking it up in Jisho.org, it has 9 different ways the verb can be used.
My question is it more common for native speakers to use “出す” in everyday speech for something like this or to use a more specific verb like “払う”.

払う is used when making a payment to a store or service provider.

(お金を)出す means to take responsibility for the payment yourself. It can be translated as “pick up the tab,” “cover the bill,” or “pay for someone.”
